Job Summary : Abbott Core Diagnostics division is seeking a proficient Data Analyst to join our team in Hoofddorp. We will have a project to measure sustainability and the ability to use it for our employees. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming data into insights that drive business value. Through use of data analytics, data visualization, and data modeling techniques and technologies, you will analyze complex datasets and communicate findings to business leaders to influence how our business responds to market trends and business challenges.

The internship period lasts at least 25 weeks, ideally 6-12 months. During this period you will be guided by our experienced team and will have the opportunity to further develop your knowledge and skills. In addition, Abbott offers good employment conditions and an excellent working atmosphere.

This project aims to increase efficiency of current staff by develop and implement digital tools.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Collect, integrate, and analyze data from various sources to support decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI or Excel , ensuring they are user-friendly and catered to the audience’s needs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Design, build and deploy BI solutions that enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner to non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular data validation and cleanup.
  • Stay current with the latest technology and techniques in data analytics.

Required Skills :

  • Last year Master or Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a data analyst or in a related field.
  • Proficiency in data mining, data visualization, and data optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Power BI, Excel), databases (SQL, etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable Skills :

  • Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in diagnostics or related fields.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and predictive modeling is a plus.
  • Advanced certification in Power BI or related BI tools.
