As Software Quality Engineer at GenDx ,

you will be working closely with software developers on multiple exciting projects to test our HLA typing and Chimerism monitoring software packages that are used for transplantation purposes worldwide. You are proud to set up and apply testing processes for new and existing products to assure the best possible quality, so customers can always rely on our software packages. With this in mind, you should have demonstrable experience with carrying out rigid testing, as well as being able to handle the detail of a complex, exciting project. You are positive and well organized, in order to work through a problem and find issues. You are communicating effectively in a team setting, and contributing with creative ideas and solutions. You are a self-motivated and critical thinker, always considering “what if?”.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and coordinate testing activities for multiple software products during development and release.
  • Assist processes for software release.
  • Validate and improve software tools and internal processes.
  • Monitor feedback and QA outcomes.
  • Design, develop, review and maintain test scripts and frameworks, ensuring test coverage of existing and new software requirements.
  • Communicate observed issues in a clear, detailed, and helpful way.
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
  • Working together with our software developers to ensure high quality software.

Requirements

  • BSc/MSc in Software Engineering, (Bio)Informatics, application development or acquired level through work experience in software testing.
  • At least 2 years of experience with software testing and/or software quality assurance.
  • A perfectionist with an eye for detail and intuition to spot when something isn’t right.
  • A strong and confident communicator, who is not afraid to say “no”.
  • Experience with the following tools and frameworks is a plus: C#, .NET, Visual Studio, and SQL databases.
  • As most of our tests are automated, experience with developing code and experience with automated test frameworks like FlaUI or Selenium.
  • Experience with cybersecurity testing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of IVDR, IEC 62304 and ISO 13485.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity IEC 81001-51, and/or MDCG 20219-16rev.1 standards is a plus.
  • Knowledge of molecular techniques (e.g. DNA sequencing and related analysis software) is a

  • You currently live, or are willing to relocate, in the proximity of Utrecht Science Park.
  • You have a valid permit to live and work in The Netherlands.
