The Role
Join our team as an Intern in Antibody Therapeutics Research, where you will get hands-on experience across multiple disciplines. In this project you will be part of our Cell and Molecular Sciences team, where the focus will be on establishing in vitro display technologies, which are powerful techniques used for the screening and identification of antibodies from large diverse libraries. This internship will provide you with valuable insight and practical experience in molecular biology, protein engineering and antibody discovery and will boost your scientific mindset, and ultimately contribute to improving the lives of cancer patients!

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and execution of experiments, including optimizing mRNA and cDNA display technologies for antibody screening.
  • Learn and broaden your understanding in molecular biology techniques, such as PCR, mRNA production, cDNA synthesis and in vitro translation.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot experimental challenges and refine methodologies.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data while maintaining accurate and detailed laboratory records.
  • Actively engage in team meetings by presenting insights and troubleshooting experimental challenges.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program (in molecular biology, biotechnology, immunology, or related fields) or a HBO Life Sciences degree, both connected to a Dutch University/School of applied Sciences .
  • A strong interest in immune-oncology and antibody biology, with an eagerness to learn new technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, DNA cloning, mRNA production, cDNA synthesis, in vitro translation).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, proactively managing your projects.
  • High standards for quality and a commitment to continuous improvement through feedback.
  • Business fluent in English.

General Internship Information

  • Internship Duration: 6 – 9 months, preferably per 1 September 2025.
  • Location: Utrecht, Netherlands.
  • Schedule: Full-time, onsite role.
