Research Associate, Product Discovery

The role

In this position at Genmab, Utrecht, you will work as a Research Associate in the Product Discovery team, working on a broad set of in vitro and ex-vivo experiments. As a member of project groups, you will be working on the development of therapeutic knock-your-socks-off antibodies. If this sounds like you, Genmab might have your desired job!

Responsibilities

As Research Associate Product Discovery, you will be responsible for studying the mechanism of action and anti-tumor activity of our antibody products . That is where you come in and where you can help us realize our growth ambitions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively work in a team of Scientists and Research Associates dedicated to the discovery of therapeutic antibody products
  • With your up-to-date knowledge of and experience within the field of immunology and tumor cell biology, you are responsible for the accurate execution of experiments in assigned research studies
  • Document and process test results, draw conclusions and report these to the team
  • By investigating disease biology, antibody mode-of-action and antibody response using state-of-the-art technology, you contribute to the discovery of new antibody targets

Requirements

That is, of course, if you have the knowledge and experience to fill the role of Research Associate Product Discovery. You enjoy taking responsibility of your own projects while being a true team player, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and to pro-actively work in an enthusiastic team. More specifically, we ask the following of you:

  • A completed HLO, Masters or equivalent in a relevant life science subject
  • Relevant work experience within immunology and tumor cell biology from either academia or industry is preferred
  • You have experience with flow cytometry and subsequence analysis
  • Experience with primary cell isolations from human blood, cell culture, functional cellular assays (e.g. Cytotoxicity assays) and related immunological techniques (e.g. Luminex, ELISA)
  • Experience with small molecule inhibitors and chemical handling is advantageous
  • Understanding of electronic laboratory notebook reporting is advantageous
  • Capability to run several experiments in parallel and work flexibly
  • Furthermore, you have goal orientated mentality and verbal and written communication skills in English, on professional business level

Additional Job Description

Conduct activities related to assigned research study (e.g. conducting experiments, report processing, and documentation) with some guidance.

Provide inputs for optimization of standardized/pre-described lab processes in assigned technology/study. Contribute to teams in projects and project meetings by delivering against tasks and asking clarifying questions.
