The team

Our team's primary responsibility is to conduct biochemical characterization on Genmab's therapeutic antibodies. This is crucial in supporting the development of Genmab's antibody products. We are dedicated to continually enhancing current techniques and introducing innovative analytical methods. The Biochemical Analysis Group is divided into various research areas, such as formulation, analytical development, characterization, clinical compatibility, developability and analytics. This Scientist position will be placed in the characterization team.

Your new position

  • You motivate and supervise a team of 4-6 biochemistry research associates who perform biochemical assays within Genmab’s product development activities, focusing on degradation studies and antibody characterization (monospecific, bispecific and ADC.).
  • With your up-to-date knowledge and vision, you represent biochemistry expertise within the CMC department.
  • By using different biochemical and biophysical approaches, you contribute to antibody characterization and stability.
  • You review data generated according to SOPs.
  • You work in international project teams, interacting with project, subject matter experts and CMOs/CROs to provide the required quality of data, assays and reports.
  • You propose new biochemical and biophysical technologies and are responsible for their implementation.
  • You work with external and internal parties to implement automated solutions to improve productivity or expand our capabilities.
  • You prepare protocols and document scientific results in reports for the purpose of product development, publications, patents and regulatory documents.
  • You proactively look for ways to increase efficiency and optimize work processes.

What you need to succeed

You are keen and motivated to use your up-to-date knowledge in protein biochemistry and experience with biochemical techniques to strengthen our team. You are precise and accurate in documentation of the results. You have good communication skills, a service-oriented attitude and can deal with changing priorities and unexpected workloads. You like to work in a team, but you can also work independently.

In addition, you meet the following professional requirements:

  • You have a completed Ph.D. in biochemistry or other relevant fields (or equivalent experience).
  • You have knowledge of and experience with the most commonly used biochemical analysis techniques. The group routinely uses Absorbance Spectroscopy, Capillary Electrophoresis (CE-SDS and icIEF), Analytical Chromatography (HPLC), DLS/DSF, MFI, among others.
  • An interest in software and data handling is an advantage.
  • Direct management experience is an advantage but not a requirement.
