Mentor Medical Systems BV is recruiting for a Facilities Engineer with an affinity for EHS, located in Leiden.

Imagine your next role as a Facilities Engineer (EHS) who will be responsible for supervising and directing all aspects of the operation, maintenance, repairs, and improvements to facilities from a EHS expect.

You will comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety and Environmental Regulations to ensure execution, compliance, and proper reporting.

You will ensure compliance with facilities standards as defined by J&J and External Governmental bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages Facilities and Facilities services according to GxP and EHS regulatory requirements; assures change implementation complies with local and federal regulations; evaluates impact and actions plan to assure proper implementation.
  • Manages and supports Facilities EHS services like audits, Good Saves, incidents, CAPAs, etc.
  • Identifies issues and risks that can cause failure to comply with EHS regulatory requirements, downtime or impact the financial plan; reports to management, providing alternatives to assure issues or risks are mitigated.
  • Acts as Facilities subject matter expert for area improvements, deviation evaluations, regulatory audits, and capital justification.
  • Supports major process and facilities projects, including conducting project team meetings.
  • Ensures the establishment, implementation, execution, and monitoring of the facilities' environmental controls throughout the facilities maintenance system.
  • Ensures the establishment, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of the environmental management systems.
  • Assures compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Acts in accordance with the principles expressed in Our Credo and the Quality Statement in all negotiations and activities within and outside the company and assures these are met.
  • Prepares performance reports on accomplishments and situations of the area for the department head.
  • Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing
  • Consistent record of successfully conducting process improvements and driving operational excellence
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Minimum MVK, preferred HVK

Experience and Skills:

  • Expertise in Environment Health and Safety
  • Proven experience in GxP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Safety and Environmental Regulations.
  • Understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
  • A proactive personality and team player with a quality-driven with a feeling of facilities
