Job Description

Reporting to the Regional Sales & Marketing Manager of Companion Animals, the primary responsibility of the Territory Technical Sales Specialist for Companion Animals will be driving the in-market sales and providing technical support to the veterinary practices in the Gulf & Levant region (UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan) with the primary focus on UAE and surrounding markets. The successful candidate will work closely with customers and distributor field-force to promote Companion Animals product portfolio to small animal veterinary clinics and equine stables. Your responsibilities will include all customer related commercial and technical activities in the field, primarily planning and executing field visits to key accounts, meeting sales goals, and achieving organizational objectives while meeting customer needs and excelling at promoting our leading companion animal brands.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial & Technical Support

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive regional key accounts plan, ensuring consistent product program implementation and achieving sales goals.
  • As part of the Companion Animals Business Unit, execute sell-in and sell-out strategies geared towards distributors, customers, and Key Accounts, assuring that those activities are within the overall species strategy, regional and global corporate objectives and deliver on the desired sales targets.
  • Make a significant contribution to the performance of the business unit by utilizing strong technical and sales skills.
  • Maintain regular and detailed call reports using Salesforce, collecting valuable customer information to enrich the existing customer database.
  • Utilize technical expertise to discuss products in detail with customers, including an understanding of animal diseases and related areas.
  • Organize local seminars and lectures in conjunction with the distributor salesforce, present technical and marketing presentations externally to KOL’s, end-user customers and distributors.
  • Assist distributors with forecasting support, monitor stock levels, perform commercial campaigns, and stock revisions, and initiate sales focused action plans, based on analyzed KPIs.
  • Develop technical marketing materials and review materials for external release to ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers while implementing commercial, marketing, and key account plans.
  • Collect market insights and feedback from the customers.
  • Demonstrate proficiency at resolving conflict and supports with handling pharmacovigilance reports.
  • Display proficiency in product knowledge, account management, and market access.

Required Qualifications:

  • Veterinary Medicine degree is required.
  • Animal Health product sales and/or technical experience is necessary.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience, ideally as a vet practitioner or a technical sales manager in KA segment or in the veterinary private market to be able to develop & execute a robust commercial strategy.
  • Highly developed skills in negotiating, influencing, and establishing collaborative relationship.
  • Demonstrable sales skills and commercial acumen.
  • Key Account management experience an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent presentation and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluency in English is a must. Arabic is a plus.
  • Approximately 70 % travel in-region with occasional overseas travel as required.
  • UAE residences are a priority.
