Wij zoeken een vierdejaars HBO student Applied Science / Chemische Technologie of vergelijkbaar die op zoek is naar een uitdagende stageplek in ons innovatieve bedrijf!

Wie we zijn…

Organon Oss richt zich op de productie en verpakking van medicijnen. De organisatie kenmerkt zich door korte rapportagelijnen, autonome teams en delegatie van bevoegdheden. Daarbij zijn lean principes het uitgangspunt. De productieprocessen vinden plaats binnen  “Integrated Process Teams” (IPTs). Dit alles wordt ondersteund door Centres of Excellence (CoE's) en global supportfuncties zoals Technical Operations, Quality Operations, HR, EHS, Finance en Logistics.

Organon houdt zich bezig met technologisch hoogwaardige productie, verpakking en distributie van geneesmiddelen voor onder andere anticonceptie, bevordering van vruchtbaarheid in een sterk gereguleerde GMP-omgeving. Naast tabletten (solids) en injectievloeistoffen (steriles) worden hier ook speciale producten gemaakt, zoals anticonceptiestaafjes en ringen op basis van polymeertechnologie (polymerics).

De afdeling Technical Operations is overkoepelend werkzaam voor de diverse productie-onderdelen van Organon in Oss. De afdeling bestaat uit verschillende secties die technische en technologische ondersteuning geven. Het gaat hierbij om de productsecties: Steriles, Solids, Polymerics en Packaging, welke product- en procesondersteuning geven aan de operatie.

Over jouw stage project

Voor het produceren van tabletten wordt eerst een basisgranulaat dmv sproeidrogen gemaakt. Voordat hierin de Actieve Pharamceutische Ingredienten (API) en excipients kunnen worden gemengd, dient dit basisgranulaat te worden gemalen. Als stagiair(e) ga je de minimale standtijd vaststellen van de basisgranulaten voor enkele producten voordat deze gemalen kunnen worden. Nu wordt er ca 16 uur aangehouden tussen het maken van het basisgranulaat en het malen hiervan. In deze wachttijd verdeelt het opgebrachte vocht zich over de deeltjes (“het besterven”). Als dit niet lang genoeg gebeurt, is de korrel nog zacht en zal door het malen verpulveren. Tijdens deze stage opdracht ga je opzoek naar de minimale tijd die nodig is voor het granulaat om te besterven. Als deze opdracht lukt dan kunnen we in kortere tijd onze producten maken en kunnen we nog meer markten beleveren. Goed voor Organon en goed voor onze patiënten.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

• Uitvoeren van een literatuurstudie

• Het opzetten, uitvoeren en rapporteren van een testprogramma

• Het implementeren van de aangetoonde nieuwe standtijden

• Het geven van een frisse blik op de afdeling Tech Ops Solids door jouw mening te geven

De beschreven werkzaamheden vormen het basispakket en zullen na een goede inwerk- en leerperiode vaak zelfstandig uitgevoerd worden. Op eigen initiatief of door vraag vanuit de organisatie kunnen deze worden aangevuld met andere projecten en/of taken.

Wie ben jij?

• Je bent bekend met het opzetten van een onderzoek.

• Je bent enthousiast over technologische uitdagingen

• Uitstekende Nederlandse en Engelse communicatieve vaardigheden, zowel in woord als geschrift

• Beschikbaar voor een periode van ca 6 maanden voor 5 dagen per week in Oss.

Organon engages in high-tech production, packaging, and distribution of drugs for contraception, fertility promotion, etc. in a highly regulated GMP environment. Besides tablets (solids) and injection fluids (sterile), special products are also made here, such as contraceptive rods and rings based on polymer technology (polymerics).

The Technical Operations department oversees Organon's various production units in Oss. The department consists of various sections that provide technical and technological support. These include the product sections: Sterile, Solids, Polymerics and Packaging, which provide product and process support to the operation.

About your internship project

To produce tablets, a basic granulate is first made by spray drying. Before the Active Pharamceutical Ingredients (API) and excipients can be mixed into it, this base granulate needs to be milled. As an intern, you will establish the minimum shelf life of the base granules for some products before they can be milled. At present, about 16 hours are kept between making the base aggregate and grinding it. During this waiting time, the applied moisture distributes itself among the particles (‘the dusting’). If this does not happen long enough, the granule is still soft and will pulverize due to the grinding. During this internship assignment, you will look for the minimum time required for the granule to decay. If this assignment succeeds, we will be able to make our products in a shorter time and supply even more markets. Good for Organon and good for our patients.

The work described forms the basic package and will often be carried out independently after a good familiarisation and learning period. On your own initiative or due to demand from the organisation, these may be supplemented by other projects and/or tasks.

Required education, experience and skills

• Fourth-year HBO student Applied Science / Chemical Engineering or similar
• You are familiar with setting up a research project.
• You are enthusiastic about technological challenges
• You are looking for an internship assignment where you get the freedom for your own initiative
• Excellent Dutch and English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Available for a period of approx. 6 months for 5 days a week in Oss.
