OT Information Security Officer

Nijmegen, Netherlands

Synthon is looking for an experienced Operational Technology (OT) Information Security Officer to join our team and assist in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our OT information and systems. As our OT Information Security Officer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our security policies, procedures, and controls within our OT environment. You will also be responsible for conducting security audits and risk assessments, and for investigating any security incidents that occur. If you have a strong background in information security, sound knowledge of hardware and software used to monitor and control industrial equipment and if you are looking for a challenge, we would like to hear from you.

Information Security Officer Responsibilities

  • Developing and/or overseeing the development and implementation of processes, tools, training, and other initiatives designed to improve the overall OT Cyber Security posture and program maturity
  • Establishing and maintaining Information Security process and governance documentation aligned with (ISA)/IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001
  • Maintaining engagement with all projects and initiatives in order to build automatic compliance with OT Cyber Security requirements into all systems and processes
  • Provide advice and assistance to management concerning information security, privacy, and related matters
  • Report information security breaches and vulnerabilities to management
  • Proactively identify, assess, manage, and mitigate potential threats to security
  • Insure that security policies and directives are consistently applied
  • Develop and implement training programs on information security policies and procedures within OT
  • Working closely with the local Engineering &Maintenance as well as corporate and local IT departments to ensure OT security
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and standards
  • Support the company’s incident response plans

Travel

Duties may require you to visit Synthon locations on occasion. You should also attend security seminars to keep your knowledge up to date.

Your letter of motivation and CV should demonstrate that you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years work experience in information security and/or OT/IT
  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols and network security methodologies
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and standards (ISA/ IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Good command of the English language
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
