The opportunity

Due to the divestiture of TAPI from TEVA, we are expanding our finance functions. In line with the TAPI transformation journey, we are seeking an Head of Accounting, Netherlands to join our team!

The TAPI sales office in Netherlands is TAPI main global sale office. As the Head of Local accounting, you will be responsible for all accounting and statutory activities and will work closely with TAPI commercial team and TAPI HQ functions to define working process and ensure reporting is done in line with US and local GAAP.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Accounting responsibilities. Ensure high quality and timely completion of all accounting activities, in line with US and local GAAP and corporate policy. Take ownership for core Finance processes.
  • Statutory Financial Statement Reporting. Manage the preparation of all statutory reports for the relevant legal entity. Work with tax to prepare tax return. Review and approve all Financial Statements according to local legal requirements.
  • Compliance, Internal and External Audits. Design and maintain relevant internal controls to comply with corporate standards & policies (SOX, local regulations, FCPAetc.)  Act as point of contact for external or internal auditors. Take ownership for resolving key audit findings and significant accounting matters.
  • Business Collaboration. Proactively work with the business to understand needs and accounting implications and advise departments by researching & interpreting accounting policy.  Manage and influence stakeholders to ensure business needs are met as far as possible whilst upholding accounting policies. Translate business decisions into accounting impact and voice opinion on potential risks.
  • Customer Focus. Understand the needs of finance’s customers. Help to ensure processes & policies are clearly communicated and easy to follow. Exchange information with sales and marketing about customers, credit limits and payment terms.
  • Direct Team Management. Develop and retain qualified financial professionals to provide high-level service to the business. Implement managerial practices to ensure the team’s high performance & Develop successors.
  • Efficiency and continuous improvement. Seek & implement changes to ensure ongoing improvements to quality & Efficiency of team.

Your experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (MBA Preferred)
  • CPA with proof records of work in BIG 4 (preferred)
  • Experience in financial position in an industrial company.
  • 6+ years of proven experience
  • Adequate IT proficiency and strong experience as user of common ERP
  • Fluent in English & local language
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working abilities in a global environment with many interfaces
  • Collaboration and influencing capabilities.
  • People management experience
