Treasury Risk Manager & Insurance Specialist TAPI

Location of the role

This position is available in Haarlem (NL) or near our TAPI sites in Italy, Hungary, Croatia or Czechia.

The opportunity

Due to the divestiture of TAPI from TEVA, we are building finance functions. In line with the TAPI transformation journey, we are looking for a Global Treasury Insurance & Risk Management Specialist to come on board. In this role you will be responsible for all risk management initiatives and some insurances topics.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Leads identification, communication, measurement, and management of company-wide risk.
  • Manages insurance procurement, develops and implements risk management and compliance policies/procedures, and manages claims and litigation.
  • Manages relationships with third party service providers including brokers, underwriters, and other third-party administrators.
  • Evaluates and provides recommendations regarding selection of policies, including but not limited to: Property, Casualty, General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Directors and Officers, and Cyber-risk policies.
  • Coordinates and submits, as necessary, the gathering of insurance policy renewal data.
  • Partners with all departments regarding incident reports and claims or losses.
  • Investigates, resolves, and responds to all property and liability claims
  • Provides timely notification of claims to insurance carriers.
  • Works with the company’s insurance brokers to respond to requests for certificates of insurance and claims history document.
  • Partners with key stakeholders to develop and implement standards, processes, programs, and best practices related to risk management.
  • Identifies potential risk exposures, recommends solutions, implements approved programs, promotes loss prevention, and updates and monitors compliance.
  • Manages all phases of the claims process from intake and investigation through litigation, settlement, and/or trial, and consults and/or participates in negotiations, conferences and mediations with adjusting companies, outside legal counsel, staff, claimants, and other involved parties.
  • Manage risk positions, including market risk, interest rate, energy, and FX exposures in accordance with the Corporate Treasury guidelines. Oversee hedging processes, encompassing exposure forecasting, hedge execution and reporting activities. and lead decision-making and be part of risk forums and global hedging strategies.
  • Closely cooperates with Local Treasury/Regional Treasury to ensure optimization structure and proper financing of the subsidiaries to fulfill operational cash activity.
  • Establish and implementation of a cost-effective and optimized central treasury unit. and work closely with the Head of TAPI IT to optimize centralization management and tools regarding cash-pools, Sweeps, IC-Netting and Intercompany Settlements.
  • Define and manage Treasury IT roadmap, aligned with business objectives and translate requirements. such as SSI, cash-flow and payments practices to scale and secure global treasury processes.
  • Act as subject matter of expert on the group liquidity. Oversee the position of the organization along with FP&A. ensuring adequate funding levels to meet operational needs and financial obligations. develop and enforce liquidity models and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor short-term investments to maximize returns on excess cash in alignment to the company's risk tolerance and objectives.
  • Coordinate treasury matters on global projects involving tax and BD initiatives.
  • Support any curve-out related finance matter.
  • Prepare regular reports and board presentations highlighting key metrics, trends, strategies, and risks, and providing recommendations for informed decision-making.

Your experience and qualifications

  • Master Degree in Business, Legal, Finance, Accounting, or Risk Management required
  • Law degree or Associate’s degree in Risk Management preferred
  • 5-10 years of insurance and risk management experience
  • Strong with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Project management skills and attention to detail
  • High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
