The S&OP Manager is a professional in S&OP Management, someone who has affiliation with continuous improvement, creating structure and getting things done. This role is excellent for someone who loves a global environment, enjoys working with diverse partners and who likes to achieve results through global cooperation. The position reports to the Sr. Manager Global Planning within the Global Supply Chain team of the MSD division. You will be part of a strong passionate team with the target to drive scalability of our Supply Chain processes to enable growth. You have a strong working relationship with the factory Logistics teams, Business Units, Business Operations, Finance and the MSD executive team globally.
How you will make an impact
The Global S&OP Manager is responsible for the global monthly S&OP process. As the S&OP Manager you integrate functional areas and link strategic & operational plans. The S&OP Manager researches and analyzes monthly input in each step and leads the process. You recommend and implement improvements to the organization’s business processes related to S&OP in order to improve the overall organization’s performance and to facilitate growth. You will develop road maps, align on and drive project plans and communicate changes. The S&OP Manager owns the S&OP process for the division and continues to develop it. You will drive the Integral Business Process changes to support the transformation process and coach the various team members. You will support the company’s mission to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer!
What you will do:
The S&OP Manager will drive the execution of the monthly S&OP cycle for MSD, including preparation for and chairing of the S&OP executive meeting. Forecast assumptions and demand will be challenged based on analysis of data provided, industry dynamics, statistics, business trends and demand patterns. You will ensure S&OP dashboards, tooling and database are up-to-date and continuously improved and that all participants are trained and aware of their roles and responsibilities and coach them to stay aligned. You might need to develop and provide S&OP training programs and templates. The S&OP Manager will advance the S&OP process by developing, driving and owning the S&OP roadmap and work with all partners in accomplishing this, will own and lead global projects, participate in and provide support for other projects and programs related to the S&OP process and will develop, drive and implement continuous improvements of the S&OP process & capabilities across MSD to enable growth.
How you will get here
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management
- Project and Change Management trained and/or certified
Experience
- Experience (5-8 years) in the field of supply chain, preferably in a high mix/low volume environment
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability in leading successful improvements/projects in Supply Chain
- Experience in change management (e.g. Prosci)
- Proven experience with PowerBI
Knowledge, skills, abilities
- Understanding of the requirements and processes of all partners (Manufacturing, Logistics, Sales, BU, Finance, R&D, etc).
- Teammate, but also independent strong
- Able to work with multiple levels of a global matrix organization
- Hands-on mentality: loves problem solving, gets results and strives to get things done in an analytical, detailed and practical way
- ERP knowledge (QAD is a plus)
- Outstanding English language
- Drive to learn, curious, creative, inventive, pro-active, flexible
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Enthusiastic, able to empower and influence people to build and maintain relationships and to drive real change
The role might require global travel, estimated at 10-15% depending on the projects
