Global Planner Service Logistics

With a growing installed base, the service organization and service logistics in particular is a very dynamic organization! We work together in an international team of colleagues across different time zones to pro-actively ensure spare parts availability across our global warehousing network.

Together with the team, you own and plan $160M worth of global inventory and decide to buy, repair, and scrap for a portfolio of around 9000 spare parts. This is accomplished by using the planning software Servigistics and applying appropriate planning practices, knowledge on statistical forecasting, and insights gained from cross-departmental teamwork. The global planner will need to collaborate with our buying team, global technical support team, procurement, operations engineering, quality and product lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing $160M in global inventory.
  • Confirm statistical demand forecasting to be able to lead global inventory planning through the warehousing network.
  • Align forecasts with procurement department and suppliers, enabling long term capacity planning within the integrated supply chain while owning solving critical shortages on short-term.
  • Involved in cross-functional teams and work towards resolving supply chain (capacity) challenges.
  • Continuously work on improving the overall service supply chain setup by combining a multitude of data sources.
  • Drive for continuous improvement in multi-disciplinary projects while representing service logistics.

Requirements

  • MSc degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business or related field.
  • Possesses knowledge of service businesses, statistical forecasting, inventory management and project management.
  • 0-2 years experience working in supply chain, preferably in a high-tech service environment.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to manage multiple, competing priorities at once.
  • Continuous improvement mentality.
  • Great teammate.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
