The Senior Manager, Operational Excellence is responsible for leading and driving operational excellence initiatives within the Leiden site, which includes both commercial large molecules as advanced therapies and new product introduction. Your role will involve analyzing data, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving change management efforts. This role will play a critical role in enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and improving overall business performance.
The role is responsible for ensuring ongoing strategy deployment and development of all employees to drive optimal performance and meet current and future business needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the operational excellence team to develop, align and deploy the operational excellence strategy with the overall organizational goals and objectives.
- Apply data-driven insights and analytics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational improvements. Develop and maintain performance metrics and dashboards to track progress and communicate results to customers.
- Identify and evaluate operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement across various departments.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity
- Develop a culture of continuous improvement by implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies, Kaizen events, and other improvement frameworks
- Facilitate cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and implement process improvements.
- Lead and oversee multi-disciplinary operational excellence projects from initiation to completion, such as JJPS (Johnson & Johnson Production System). Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Inspire change management initiatives by engaging and influencing key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
Education:
- A minimum Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent degree, required
- Minimal Black Belt certification or the aim to achieve one.
Required:
- A minimum of 5 years supply chain experiences that demonstrated ability to manage drive operational performance improvements
- A minimum 5 years of People Management Experience
- Deep understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving change management initiatives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data for decision-making.
- Project management experience, including defining project scope, leading timelines, and resources.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Continuous improvement attitude and a passion for driving operational excellence.
Preferred:
- Statistical analysis and usage of statistical tools
- Microsoft applications
