Intern - Life Sciences/Biomedical Sciences - BTS Analytics

Welcome to our team

The BTS Analytics department is an essential hub in our organization. This department is focused on providing in-line test support to the Quality Control (QC) sites in Europe. This internship assignment is supported by QC Boxmeer, for which the multiplex assay is being developed. The team consists of 7 employees, all of whom have extensive knowledge and experience. Your internship assignment

As an intern you are responsible for the development of a multiplex immunoassay to simultaneously measure six antigens in one of our multivalent vaccines using the Luminex bead technology. • Performing Luminex bead-couplings

  • Showing proof of principle of a new multiplex assay

  • Comparing performance of the multiplex assay to individual ELISA assays

  • Providing a fresh perspective within the department: your opinion matters.

The described tasks form the basic package and will often be performed independently after a proper training and learning period. These tasks may be supplemented with other projects and/or tasks on your own initiative or at the request of the organization.
