Warehouse Operations Specialist

The team

Our Supply Chain team ensures inventory is consistently available to meet our patient’s needs. We coordinate all aspects of supply through supply planning, sourcing, making, inventory management, packaging, and delivery. We partner across the Marketing, Finance, Quality and Manufacturing organizations to build a robust demand and supply plan and to ensure our products are being delivered to the right customer, at the right place, at the right time and at the right quality.

The Warehouse Operations Specialist role is part of the Regional Logistics team which is responsible for the distribution of our products across the EMEA region. The Regional Logistics team is divided in 3 pillars: Warehousing, Transportation and Trade Compliance which together ensure our patients’ needs are being fulfilled at the right place, at the right time, at the right quality and in a complaint way.

The role

In your role as a Warehouse Operations Specialist, you will be the main point of contact between the 3PL and our organization from an operational perspective. You will also be the back-up for the Supply Chain Senior Specialist.

Main responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Perform daily/monthly inventory reconciliations controls;
  • Ensure stock is adjusted according;
  • Coordinate stock counting process;
  • Provide relevant information during audits;
  • Coordinate controls within our financial policy system;

Quality Management:

  • Initiate and/or coordinate quality notifications;
  • Support investigation of deviations within 3PL processes;
  • Support investigation of alarmed temperature dataloggers;
  • Add information in our Cold Chain Management System on temperature data for alarmed temperature dataloggers;

Day-to-Day Operations:

  • Update and share main operational reports;
  • Cooperate with 3PL to solve issues and establish improvements;
  • Manage complains within 3PL systems;
  • Ensure that risk assessments on the temperature of our transports are executed on timely basis;
  • Coordinate the dangerous goods process when necessary;
  • Initiate Change Notifications to inform 3PL of new products, new or revised processes/instructions and any other exception from the standard working methods;
  • Monitor destruction process;

What you offer

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Economics is preferred;
  • At least 3 years of working experience in a similar role;
  • Working experience with managing a distribution center / 3rd Party Logistics Provider is preferred;
  • Working experience with SAP or Power BI is a plus;
  • Strong with Excel;
  • Fluency in English is required, Dutch is a plus;
  • Hands on approach, ability to make quick decisions when needed, and work independently;
  • Strong customer-focus and solution-orientation;
  • Good collaboration skills and able to work with people in and outside the organization;
  • Analytical skills;
  • Continuous improvement mindset;
