Pharmacovigilance Associate - VIE Contract (W/M)

Target start date: 01/08/2024

Purpose of the Pharmacovigilance Associate VIE job is:

• To perform Pharmacovigilance (PV) activities in Sanofi the Netherlands in accordance with local legislation and company guidelines.
• To contribute to the overall success of Sanofi by establishing and sharing within the company a good knowledge of PV, including legal and company requirements, and to contribute to the maintenance of good customer relations.

This role is within the North Europe MCO (multi-cultural organization):

• The Netherlands is part of the North Europe MCO. The incumbent should actively contribute to the North Europe Cluster PV team and local organization via projects and day-to-day collaboration.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To obtain and maintain thorough knowledge of company procedures and legal requirements regarding Pharmacovigilance, as well as having a good knowledge of the PV aspects of the company portfolio.
• Handling of Individual Case Safety Reports according to local legislation and company QD (quality documents).
• Providing relevant safety information to Heath Authorities, internal stakeholders and external parties.
• Ensure involvement of PSPV (Patient Safety & Pharmacovigilance), GSO (Global Safety Officer) and CSH (Country Safety Head) as appropriate.
• Upon agreement support the CSH in local safety surveillance activities, safety issues, risk management activities, product alerts, patient support programs and market research programs throughout the affiliate. Inform PSPSV and Health Authorities about safety issues in accordance with local legislation and company QDs.
• Participate in writing and updating of local/MCO QDs according to corporate QDs and local legislation. Training of employees in PV relevant processes applicable for their function. Collaborate with applicable third parties within PV area. Actively support corporate policies, values and initiatives and comply with all Sanofi HSE Corporate Policy & Requirements.

Key “MUST HAVE” competencies, skills & experiences :

• Life science degree (eg Pharmacy, Medicine, Biomedical or equivalent).
• Work experience from pharmaceutical industry or equivalent, preferably within pharmacovigilance or corresponding areas.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Computer literacy.
• Strong skills in planning and prioritization.
• Awareness of need for accuracy.
• Strong communication skills with health-care professionals, patients and colleagues.
• Strong interpersonal skills and cooperates well with colleagues.
• Team player.
