How Will You Make An Impact?
The EMC Expert is responsible for the EMC competence and its implication towards EM systems, modules, and components and acts as a main technical and regulatory advisor in all topics related to EMC of EM.
This person defines design guidelines for internal (and external) customers. Builds and enriches EMC technical knowledge and content including analysis/test methodologies.
The Role
- Develops and maintains the EMC roadmap.
- Supports the HW design teams to ensure intra- and intersystem EMC compliance of EM system, performs system level measurements and proposes technical solutions to meet EMC standards.
- Performs EMC design reviews and measurements at PCB, module, cable and (sub-) system level.
- The EMC expert provides EMC risk analyses, EMC diagnostic and simulations and in-situ test methodologies and analysis of EMC related issues in electronic systems.
- The EMC related competence within MSD ranges from near DC to GHz range frequencies, for both conducted and radiated emission and immunity.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you have a suitable background and an adequate level of experience:
- BSc or MSc degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- 8+ years of demonstrated ability with consistent record of hardware-focused design activities
- Experience with high-tech mechanical constructions preferably for Complex Capital Equipment
- Experience with Design Principles, High Precision Mechanics, Cryogenic designs, Mechatronic designs
- Experience with tolerance analysis, FMEA, Design for Manufacturability, Design for Assembly and Design of Experiments
- Experience with UG-NX or other 3DCAD, Team Center, FEM

You should be comfortable with both high-level and detailed thinking. Persistence, decisiveness, and a focus on goals, quality, cost, and time are important traits.
